Meet Brandon
Helping people understand their pain, reclaim their lives, and move forward with confidence.
Many of the people I work with have spent years searching for answers. They've seen specialists, tried treatments, read books, joined support groups, and done everything they can think of to feel better. Yet despite their efforts, they continue to struggle with chronic pain, anxiety, trauma, stress, or emotional overwhelm.
If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.
I believe that symptoms make sense. Whether you're experiencing persistent pain, anxiety, depression, trauma-related distress, or navigating a major life transition, there is often a story behind what you're experiencing. My role is not to tell you what's wrong with you—it's to help you better understand what your mind, brain, and body may be trying to communicate and work with you toward meaningful change.
My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and grounded in compassion. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, challenged when appropriate, and empowered to move toward the life they want to live.
My Specialty
While I work with a variety of concerns, I have developed a particular passion for helping individuals experiencing chronic pain and neuroplastic symptoms.
Modern neuroscience has transformed our understanding of pain. We now know that pain is influenced by far more than tissues, joints, and muscles alone. The brain and nervous system play a critical role in how pain is experienced, amplified, and ultimately reduced. This understanding has opened new pathways for recovery for many individuals who have felt stuck, frustrated, or misunderstood.
I incorporate concepts from Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), neuroscience, trauma-informed care, EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches to help clients build safety, reduce fear, and reconnect with meaningful living.
My Background
I earned my master’s degree from Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology and have dedicated my career to understanding the complex relationship between the brain, nervous system, behavior, emotions, and physical health.
Prior to opening Harrington Therapy & Behavioral Wellness, I gained experience working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges including trauma, chronic pain, mood disorders, anxiety, and life transitions. My professional interests continue to focus on the intersection of chronic pain, emotional health, and nervous system functioning.
In addition to providing therapy, I enjoy supporting fellow clinicians through professional consultation and educating healthcare professionals, organizations, and community groups through presentations, workshops, and media appearances focused on pain neuroscience, behavioral health, and resilience.
Beyond the Office
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in creative and entrepreneurial spaces that taught me the value of connection, curiosity, and the stories people carry with them. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach therapy today.
I believe healing is rarely about becoming a different person. More often, it's about understanding yourself with greater clarity, developing new ways of responding to life's challenges, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have been overshadowed by pain, fear, or stress.
Let's Connect
Whether you're seeking support for chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, depression, or a difficult life transition, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Healing doesn't happen overnight, but meaningful change is possible—and you don't have to navigate it alone.
