  • I work with adults and older adolescents experiencing chronic pain, neuroplastic symptoms, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and other emotional or behavioral health concerns.

  • Yes. While I have developed a particular interest in chronic pain, neuroplastic symptoms, trauma, and life transitions, I also have experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns.

    At this time, individuals seeking specialized treatment for eating disorders may be referred to providers with advanced training and expertise in that area to ensure they receive the most appropriate level of care.

  • Pain Reprocessing Therapy is an evidence-based approach designed to help individuals experiencing chronic pain and other neuroplastic symptoms. It focuses on helping the brain and nervous system reinterpret signals of safety, reduce fear, and decrease symptom-focused attention that can contribute to persistent pain.

  • For many people, yes. Research increasingly shows that the brain and nervous system play an important role in how pain is experienced. Therapy can help individuals better understand pain, reduce fear and avoidance, improve functioning, and develop a healthier relationship with their symptoms.

  • Yes. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma, adverse life experiences, and other events that continue to impact their emotional well-being, relationships, or daily functioning. Treatment may incorporate trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR.

  • Yes. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of several approaches that may be incorporated into treatment when appropriate. Together, we will determine the best approach based on your goals and needs.

  • The first session is a diagnostic interview. During this appointment, we'll discuss your concerns, history, goals, and what has brought you to therapy. This session also helps determine whether my services are a good fit for your needs and allows us to develop an initial treatment plan.

  • The diagnostic interview is $150. Ongoing therapy sessions are $150 per session.

    A limited number of reduced-fee appointments may be available on a case-by-case basis. If approved, ongoing sessions will be billed at the agreed-upon rate.

  • Harrington Therapy & Behavioral Wellness is a private-pay practice. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. Upon request, a superbill can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company.

  • The length of therapy varies depending on your goals, concerns, and progress. Some individuals seek short-term support around a specific issue, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. Treatment recommendations are made collaboratively and reviewed throughout the process.
